Technical Team Lead/Head of Delivery/J2EE/SOA

Endeavour Recruitment are urgently seeking an experienced Technical Team Lead/Head of Delivery to work on a 6-month contract in a large European organisation based in The Netherlands.

THE ROLE:

- The chosen candidate will be in charge of leading a development and maintenance team, managing its environments in co-operation with the project manager.
- Managing the day-to-day work of a development and maintenance teams, focusing on integration of several supplier stacks.
- Ensuring the continuous integration is setup and running end to end.
- Responsible for the quality of the technical documentation deliveries.
- Participating in writing project management deliverables.
- Responsible for the development & integration environments.

Being involved in international projects, willingness to travel is required as punctual opportunities may arise for travelling in Europe.

SKILLS:

You have a master in computer science or equivalent valuable experience

- You have a good technical background with minimum 5 years of experience in IT projects
- You have a good knowledge of Agile and SCRUM methodologies
- You have experience in incident handling, in task organization and planning and follow-up
- You have experience in coordination and management of development and maintenance teams (at least 10 persons)
- You are flexible, open-minded, pro-active, structured, quality-oriented and problem solving oriented
- You are a self-starter and a customer oriented problem-solver. You are focused on delivery.
- Team spirit is a strong requirement as well as clear and concise communication.
- Strong and effective communication skills both orally and written is key for this position.
- You have an excellent level in written and spoken English and also in Dutch which is a clear plus.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

You have minimum 7 - 10 years' experience in the IT Sector.

- You have 4 years of experience in technical team leading, Agile development and PRINCE2 or similar with a clear focus on quality.
- You have experience in hands-on continuous integration setup and improvements.
- You have a good knowledge in Java (J2EE) both Front End and Back End.
- You have experience with SOA architecture and WS Security.
- Knowledge of case management systems is key. Experience with Be Informed is an asset.
- You have experience working with document storage systems like Documentum and Sharepoint
