Technical Support - VOIP

Perform operational readiness testing on applications running Voice Over IP services prior to production deployment. Responsible for documenting, troubleshooting and resolving all issues encountered during testing.

DUTIES:

- Provides an elevated level of support for the company's Business and Consumer Voice Over IP platforms.
- Responsible for performing remote Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) on the BVOIP application Servers.
- Ensures that all supported elements have the proper configuration, connectivity, and are functioning properly.
- Ensures proper alarming is occurring and all Operational requirements are met.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving problems that cause testing to fail.
- Engages technical assistance as required by partnering with various departments and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve the issues.
- Documents and shares updated procedures as required to reflect procedural changes/improvements.
- Oversees and/or manages multiple deployments in parallel, meets project deadlines and provides status updates to the team.

SKILLS:

- Expert level experience in Unix, Linux, VoIP, and SIP is required
- Expert experience Troubleshooting complex technical issues is required.
- Intermediate IP Networking experience is required.
- Must have proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound troubleshooting skills in a Unix/Linux environment is required.
- A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE ON VOIP PLATFORMS PROVIDING AN ELEVATED LEVEL OF TECHNICAL SUPPORT IN A UNIX/LINUX ENVIRONMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.
