Technical Support Specialist (Customer Support) Job

TECHNICAL SUPPORT (CUSTOMER SUPPORT) needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Carlsbad, CA.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide Tier I technical support and customer support for designated proprietary software products ensuring that service level and customer satisfaction agreements are met.
- This is primarily done over the phone and via email communications.
- Troubleshoot and solve simple to highly complex hardware and software issues- methodical troubleshooting approach with attention to detail
- Operating system and application installation/configuration- high level understanding of product functionality
- Proper escalation of incidents to management.
- Thorough and detailed issue tracking in customer relationship management software

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Team player that will add value through very high quality and dedication to support team
- Recent experience with software troubleshooting supporting external customers- end user and enterprise
- Solid working knowledge of PC based computer hardware and software required; experience in a software development customer service environment preferred.
- Strong PC skills and knowledge of MS Applications. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000, XP Professional, and Windows 2003 Server is required.
- Ability to work in a team based environment and multitask.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Requires at least one year of experience in a similar position.
