For one of our clients, we are looking for a:

TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location.  Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, MS Office Suite, E- mail, and Operating Systems.

Responsibilities:

-          Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
-          Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
-          Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.
-          Maintain record of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.
-          Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support.
-          Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
-          Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware

and software.

-          Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
-          Prepare evaluations of software or hardware, and recommend improvements or upgrades.
-          Answer users' inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems.

JOB DEMANDS:

-          Experience in a progressive IT help desk support environment
-          Strong knowledge and experience in Windows operating systems and Active Directory
-          Excellent customer service skills, positive attitude, and the ability to communicate well in a timely manner with employees at all levels
-          Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite, Financial Applications and Desktop Support
-          Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and prioritize tasks to meet numerous deadlines in a fast paced environment
-          Must be available for occasional weekend, after hours work and on-call rotation
