TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER, 3ED LEVEL SUPPORT, REDHAT, VMWARE, SYMANTEC
TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER
SKILLS:
- Good understanding of IT enterprise architectures, with emphasis on software, hardware architecture, and infrastructure design (Linux, Windows, Network, Security)
- Good understanding of following technologies:
1) Routers/Firewalls/Proxies/Reverse proxies/SMTP Gateways/VPN
2) Operating environments (RedHat, Windows 2008 R2)
3) Virtualization technologies (VMWare)
4) Clustering technologies (Symantec)
- Strong analytical skills regarding technical issues
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage completing client requests
- Additional skills in one or more of the following areas will be of advantage:
- Experience in a customer facing position
- Experience in managing multiple technical requests
- The following inter-personal skills are essential:
- Ability to learn fast
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment
- Highly self-motivated, self directed and attentive to details
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural international team.
- Excellent communications, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Fluent in both written and spoken English (good command of German and French are an asset)
TASKS:
Your role will be to support the Technical Account Management team with customer requests follow ups (Change requests, technical requests etc ) as well as supporting with the coordination of cross functional technical teams for customer issue investigation.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 3+ years experience in customer-facing positions such as a professional technical engineer or 3rd level Support Engineer.
- Interest in working in international teams performing challenging and diversified tasks
