This is a premium opportunity with a team responsible for a wide range of technology solutions used to monitor & manage global IT infrastructure. Much of this technology consists of commercial off-the-shelf solutions provided by industry leading vendors.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Provide second level support of multiple 3rd party products (tools) used for Systems Management. These products/tools are used by operational staff to monitor systems and services for actionable faults as well as asset inventory.
- Track issues via incident and problem resolutions related to the tools.
- Compose clear documentation and reports, assess Operational impacts, provide estimates, ensure operational acceptance, develop and improve support processes and solutions and be involved in projects to supply applications with solutions to their issues.
- Assist with the implementation of visionary direction in terms of virtualization, unified deployment, configuration, and inventory solutions, and automation capabilities to continuously advance IT-to-business maturity levels.
- Support, and promote an organizational culture that provides for high performance, high morale, integrity, and teamwork.
- Must act as a team player build positive relationships throughout the enterprise.
- Accountable for the supporting and promoting technology standards used to develop alert based solutions.
- Assist in preforming technical and functional proof of concepts in conjunction with other technology teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
- 2 years in a successful development environment regularly releasing well-tested solutions with complex integrations to meet application and service objectives
- Strong foundation in the fundamentals of computer science, complex application architectures and complex systems
- Base knowledge and a background of at least 5 years troubleshooting Linux, Windows and Unix
- Working knowledge and experience supporting 1-2 of the following: Netcol Onmibus, Splunk, BMC Patrol, BMC BAO, CA BSI (Oblicore), Atlassian Confluence (Wiki)
- Working knowledge and experience with Scripting & UI languages such as PERL, PYTHON, PHP, etc.
- Competency with Linux, Unix and Windows, and an understanding of web services
- Strong researching skills and ability to resolve issues independently
- Experience working for large to mid-sized corporations in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the demonstrated ability to work with technical professionals across the enterprise
- Comfortable with ambiguity as needs change on a regular basis
- High degree of initiative and sense of urgency
- Self-confident and highly willing to participate in team efforts
- Excellent oral and written skills with the ability to interact with management, technical subject matter experts, and business customers REQUIRED
- Ability to work on multiple, simultaneous initiatives of which she/he will apply applicable business, technical and system functionality background
- Familiarity with Network, Systems and Infrastructure Alert Management concepts
