OVERVIEW
- Solve complex problems and taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
- Serve as a technical/functional specialist and works independently with guidance only in the most complex situations.
- Track issues via incident and problem resolutions related to the tools.
- Compose clear documentation and reports.
- Assess Operational impacts, provide estimates, ensure operational acceptance, develop and improve support processes and solutions.
- Be involved in projects to supply applications with solutions to their issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- Typically requires a minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience
- Experience with maintaining highly available and highly secure systems
- MUST have experience with Unix or Windows to be considered (not looking for a network background)
- Must have Remedy Software, SCUM, SPLUNK, BMC BPPM
- Must be able deal with a stressful work environment
- Should be extremely self-motivated with the ability to work independently, coordinating activities within cross-regional and cross-functional teams
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Must be able to work with teams globally
- Systems administration, troubleshooting skills, customer service/help desk experience
- Must be able to work on site in Ashburn
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Prognosis, Netcool, PowerShell, and/or Perl a plus
- Preference on industry background in Banking and Finance
Duration of assignment: 6 month assignment with possible extensions depending on work load and performance.
