Technical Support Analyst

A leading supplier of Derivative Trading Systems to hedge funds and investment banks, is recruiting for the role of Financial Systems Consultant.

The role involves:

- Day-to-day support via email, telephone and onsite
- Pre and post-sales implementation, support and training with prospective and new customers.
- Integrating the software with other systems and parties
- Communication between development and sales teams
- Gathering requirements and specifications from customers
- Testing and upgrading customer systems
- Training users and external support staff
- Writing documentation
- Recording and updating issues in issue tracking system
- Replicating and documenting bugs

You will be working in a team of 7 dedicated support and implementation staff across several regions, along with the development team based inOxford. The role is based inLondon, but the customer base is global, so some travel may be required.

Skills and Competencies

- Degree educated
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to operate with minimal supervision and direction
- Attention to detail along with ability to see tasks to completion
- Some coding experience - language is not important
- Some database experience - specific database is not important
- Strong IT skills (Windows, networking, scripting etc.)
- Experience with client-facing or customer service roles
- Fast learning - ability to self-teach new languages and technologies

This role is based in the City, London and will pay a base salary of up to £45000, plus benefits.
