Technical Standards and Compliance Engineer

An exciting new position has recently been created within a leading British manufacturer of rotating machinery. The role, based in the East midlands will involve you reviewing the international technical regional specifications which are applicable for the companies product range and to evaluate cost implications. You will be expected to identify, assess and update the technical regulatory & standards compliance of incoming enquiries to ensure all tenders are compliant with local laws. You will then create and maintain a database of standards comments for future tender activities and assist the tendering team. This role will involve where necessary international travel. The preferred candidate will have an electrical or mechanical engineering background and experience with working with capital equipment. You will ideally possess previous commercial or project management experience and the ability to interpret design specifications. It is required of any applicants to have an understanding of the rules and regulations regarding different country specifications.
