Technical Specialist Storage Infrastructure

For our international end client in The Hague we are looking for a Technical specialist Storage Infrastructure

Start: 19-05-2013
Duration: 12 months
Rate: 50-55/hr

Main activities:
- Close working relationship with the end users and IT outsourced suppliers to deliver a stable end to end service
- End to End problem management and monitoring across the storage environment.
- Support the infrastructure directly or in close cooperation with outsource service provider
- Document, maintain and improve service performance metrics

Must have:
- Good Exposure to Storage Technologies
- Operational support experience with NetApp and/or EMC Isilon Storage
- Exposure to Active Directory and DFS
- Infrastructure hosting skills focused on the Redhat Linux OS and/or Windows
- Pro-active attitude: propose and execute technical and service related improvements.
- Customer focused and pro-active attitude: enjoy customer facing, taking end-to-end responsibility.
- Be able to work with various specialized multinational support teams to bring complex requests or problems to timely resolution.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- In-depth analytical and troubleshooting skills on a variety of platforms.
- Open to new challenges and good adaptability to various technical environments
- Strong willingness to learn, improve and share knowledge

Nice-to-have/preferred:
- Experience participating in a virtual team of people delivering services/projects
- Experience in multinational/multicultural enterprise.
- Exposure to the Exploration and Production business, preferably in the Subsurface/Geomatics arena
