Technical Specialist Incident & Risk Management (Firewalls, anti-virus etc)

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Technical Specialist IRM is responsible for managing and implementing IT Security processes and remediation activities required for Incident and Risk Management (IRM) environmental controls (EC) applicable to  retained infrastructure (RI) to be operational effective. The 2014 IRM project will improve security of the infrastructure by strengthening various weak links.

The Technical Specialist IRM will be responsible for:
1. Resolve low priority open shares as part of the Open Share Remediation (OSR) mandate. Open shares are project shares typically on Servers which are open to all users instead of being restricted to those that need to know. 

Activities include:
a. Identify the project share owner
b. Ensure corrective action (remediate, delete, etc.)

2. Firewalls
a. Resolve Firewall rules on Firewalls that are not compliant. 
b. Improve process to request Firewall logs and traffic in order to review and improve Firewall rules.

3. RI assets in scope of Environmental Controls should be compliant with these controls.
a. Develop anti-virus plan for retained infrastructure. Anti-virus on some existing assets will be replaced with SEP.
b. Implement Qualys Guard on applicable Servers. Qualys Guard replaces ESM and provides status on password management, vulnerability and patch management and technical compliance management.

4. Resolve waste from IT security tools.

5. New 2014 IRM mandates.

6. Provide project reporting on related IRM activities.
