My client is a leading manufacturer of trackside equipment and signalling solutions within the Rail market and are seeking a Technical Sals Manager to head up and continue to grow the Rail side of the business!
MAIN OBJECTIVES
Reporting to the Business Development Director, the primary objective is to retain the Company's current position within the railway signals market with regards to sales and volume, and to develop additional business from new and existing customers. The role is to be the sales driver and customer interface, with the full support of an established technical and operational team.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Experienced in a direct selling role within the railway industry, preferably trackside signalling equipment
- Experienced in direct dealings at both operational and mid-senior levels
- Self-motivated in planning and implementing day to day activities (3 days per week client visits, 2 days office base)
- Engineering background with an understanding of electrical and mechanical disciplines
- Ability to produce well structured and accurate quotations and tenders, and written communications
- Enthusiastic and committed to providing excellent customer satisfaction
- Eager to contribute new initiatives to secure / expand / diversify the business
- Preferred location York, Derby or central / north-east England.
