BSM (BUSINESS SERVICE MANAGEMENT)

Technical project resource to deliver end to end application performance monitoring using BSM toolset.
Main responsibilities will be as follows:

- Project study phase impact assessment and acceptance deliverables engagement
- Monitoring requirements gathering and business analysis
- Monitoring design, implementation and documenting
- Project methodology and framework adoption

Adherence to:

- Change management controls
- Service introduction workflow (gateway process)
- BAU handover criteria
- Project delivery support in warranty

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

5+ years experience with the HP Business Availability Center (HP BAC 7.5+)/HP Business Service Management (HP BSM 9.1+) product set

Hands on experience of Business Process Monitoring (BPM) and VuGen Scripting of Web, SOAP and Citrix applications

Hands on experience of Real User Monitoring (RUM), preferably in a high volume environment, covering at least HTTP-Web and SOAP applications

Understanding of other HP APM products (eg BPI, BPR, SHA, SHR, SLM, TV)

Experience with creating RTSM views (Instance/Pattern) and building TQL

In depth knowledge of SiteScope/System Health

Working knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 and Red Hat 5+

Understanding of network devices, eg, Distributed Network Taps, Switches, VLAN spanning

Business Analysis skills with respect to monitoring design and definition to meet business and IT requirements

Must be prepared to work some evenings and weekends to implement changes
