ROLE:
Our customer is currently hiring a an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager with extensive VoIP experience.

This role requires senior level communication and strategic planning to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget. The projects are typically technical in nature, and while this role is not a technical role, the chosen PM must have prior technical experience in order to effectively influence the execution of the project. The Project Manager will work closely with the Program Manager over Infrastructure to plan, direct and coordinate projects from the contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must lead project teams and manage activities associated with projects that are typically cross-department or organizational entity-wide in scope. Projects tend to be complex and technical in nature and may last six months to more than one year in duration

Must work closely with the department heads, finance group and the Executive team to establish the scope and goals of the project and provide leadership for the definition and delivery of project initiatives

Must develop key project documentation to thoroughly understand what staff member(s) and or consultant(s) are needed to complete projects - eg, statements-of-work, change orders, project plans, issues list, risk management lists, status reports, meeting agendas, post-mortem reports, etc.

Must establish and manage a pragmatic, detailed plan (schedule) to ensure the project is executed on time and meets the goals of the sponsor

Must work with the cross functional teams to identify, articulate, and manage project risks and issues

Must drive project issues through to resolution using the methodology established in the organization and effectively manage and control project changes

Must proactively manage and direct on-site IT staff including consultants and external vendors

Must effectively communicate and advise the management team of project statuses which includes inter project dependencies, external project dependencies, and realistic timelines for completion

Develop and manage complex project plans and budgets, working with team members to understand problems, focus on bringing issues to resolution, and escalate as necessary to meet timelines

Create and deliver presentations on project goals and plans, including progress reports

Must analyze and effectively report on project metrics - eg, hours burned vs. hours estimated, profitability, project progress, risk & issues etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related scientific or technical discipline
10 years of Information Technology experience with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Voice Over IP and IP Networking working. ITIL Knowledge is a MUST, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly preferred.
