ORACLE EBS TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER
CONTRACT ROLE - 3 MONTHS INITIALLY WITH GOOD SCOPE TO EXTEND
KILDARE
Our client is urgently seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to plan and manage a complex ERP implementation. The PM will be responsible for ensuring that the technical project team and the supporting system integrators deliver the technical elements of the project to agreed plan and schedule.
The PM will have multiple Stakeholders across the Business Units and IT Function and must have strong communication and leadership skills. Experience in the management of large technology projects in complex organisations is a mandatory requirement, with Oracle ERP implementation experience a distinct advantage.
The role will be based in Newbridge, Co Kildare for 3 months, with an option to extend.
Responsibilities
- Ensure an optimal quality technical solution from the System Integrator is delivered
- Manage and ensure delivery of any technical dependencies that the System Integrator has on the organisation
- Report to, and work closely with, the Programme Manager to ensure an informed, consistent and controlled approach applied across all technical aspects of the project in line with project objectives and plan
- Work closely with the System Integrator and the IT teams to develop and manage the project plan for the Technical team, including timelines, resource requirements, deliverables, and ensuring full integration with the overall FSS Project plan
- Work with the Programme Manager, System Integrator, and IT teams in managing the implementation of the requisite IT technical environment, system interfaces and data migrations.
- Prime accountability and ownership for the integration of retained applications with Oracle eBS, provision of technical infrastructure requirements to support the Oracle eBS build, development and test project activities and the cleanse and migration of data from Legacy applications to Oracle eBS
- Help develop solutions to complex problems, including the design, documentation, and solution rollout.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of project activities to the project team throughout the life cycle of the project.
- Produce regular and accurate progress reports and present the project status at the Project Review meetings.
- Manage project inputs and outputs to secure the agreed delivery targets.
- Ensure all project meetings are documented to reduce miscommunication risk and ensure traceability of decisions.
- Identify, analyse and quantify assumptions, risks and issues, ensuring regular review to mitigate risks and resolve identified issues.
- Manage and own project delivery within budget, quality, scope and time requirements.
- Ensure quality standards are established and complied with by the Project teams.
- Manage technical design changes throughout the project delivery
- Ensure all project deliverables are delivered to the required quality and comply with company acceptance and quality processes and standards
Skills
- 5 - 7 years project manager experience.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experienced in managing similar Oracle eBS implementations, integrations and migrations.
- Project Management Certification.
- Detail oriented with an ability to anticipate and mitigate risks to project cost, time frame, and quality of project deliverables.
- Strong problem solving/analytical skills.
- Ability to think creatively and generate solutions.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation & communication skills.
- Experience in leading and motivating technical teams.
