Technical Project Manager - Network/Firewalls

Netsource is looking for a contract Project Manager to join the Network Implementation Team of a Managed Service Company.

The successful candidate will join a strong team environment (Network Engineering, Operations and Security). Candidates need to have 3-5 years experience of running projects, with a strong technical understanding of networks and Firewalls (CCNA level). They need to be able to manage projects of different sizes and understand these, to some extent, at a technical level.

The role will involve:

- Technical Project Management for Network and Firewall deployments, managing several projects at any one time.
- Define, plan, document the scope, implementation and timeline of the project.
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Manage projects through the whole life cycle, as part of a team or in a lead role.
- Produce basic technical tender document for the build of new network infrastructure.

Essential Skills:

- Good level of understanding of Cisco Networking Devices, including troubleshooting of Routers and Switches (CCNA level)
- General level of understanding UNIX systems - Solaris/Linux
- Good understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP
- Good understanding of TCP/IP protocols
- Security knowledge around Firewalls and Proxies.
- F5 experience
- ITIL V3
