Technical Project Manager Mobile

Our high-visibility client's Mobile team is creating the next generation of functionality that will enable customers to build and manage their perfect trip on personal mobile devices. We are seeking a talented Technical Project Manager with a passion for leveraging new technologies and cutting edge development practices, in order to help deliver mobile applications on new platforms.

As a Technical Project Manager you will coordinate and drive the development and delivery of a new native mobile application from concept design to operational delivery and beyond. Join us and help re-invent online travel!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinate between a third party based development team and client supporting teams to identify track and remove roadblocks and ensure delivery of the product.
- Work with business stakeholders to balance business and technical objectives and manifest these as clear, stable priorities for the team.
- Manage Mobile API support to the external development team including defect tracking, new feature definition (if needed), knowledge support and test environment availability.
- Collaborate with UI designers, software developers, and software testers to identify feature details and create functional specifications/stories.
- Effectively manage trade-offs between cost/schedule versus business benefit.
- Work with developers, testers, and operations during implementation in order to get features released to live site and drive problem resolution once the new feature has gone live.
- Actively contribute to our team's culture of having fun together, embracing change, and delivering.
- Report on progress, risk mitigation and issues to the management team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Technical degree and 4+ years in a technical project management or product management role
- High degree of competency and experience with project management including: issue and risk identification and management, tracking dependencies and milestones, and communication of overall project status
- Ability to creatively solve challenging business/technology problems
- Experience with the full SDLC and shipping software using agile methodologies
- Experience managing projects involving 3rd party vendor teams with geographic separation
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic and complex environment
- Familiarity with web-based product development and understanding of typical technology architecture for high-volume web sites
- Experience with customer facing E-commerce projects highly preferred
- Passion for the customer experience
- Proven ability to work with cross functional teams to drive the implementation of new features as well as resolve operational issues
- Experience with native mobile application development projects preferred

This is a 4 month contract position with possible extension and conversion to Contract to Hire.
