TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER
Location Luanda Angola
Contract 12 months.
We seek on behalf of our client, a global Oil and Gas producer, a qualified Technical Project Manager with specific experience of delivering projects in country in Sub Sahara Africa. We can offer a highly competitive rate with initial and final flights covered. Most of the work will be performed at the Client's country headquarters, however there may be a requirement to travel to secondary locations as and when required.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating projects from initiation through to implementation in both a local as well as virtual project environment.
Can demonstrate an established history of delivery of full life cycle projects within this vertical.
Leads cross-functional project teams and works with product owners to determine and translate business requirements into technological solutions.
Responsible for managing project costs, resources, change requests, risk and issues to ensure that maximum business benefit maintained as well as provision of regular project status updates.
Well-honed diplomacy skills in an international environment.
Develops high-level project plans and ensures that the scope and approach are fully understood by all stakeholders.
Breaks down barriers and knows how to get things done in a demanding, often challenging local environment.
Uses their technical acumen to provide design alternatives, ask probing questions, and support team members in technical issue resolution.
Coordinates communications, escalates and facilitates resolution of risks, issues, and changes tied to the product development initiatives.
Conversant with all aspects of Change Management
Applies judgment and discretion on when to raise issues versus work through issues with the team
Strong leadership skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
Experienced in the use of project planning and reporting tools
Experienced in generating regular project status reporting package and formal presentation to Steering Committee.
QUALIFICATIONS
Extensive knowledge of delivering technical projects in Oil and Gas.
TECHNOLOGIES
Specific knowledge of
Microsoft Azure,
SharePoint,
SQL Server.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience, is preferred
PMI Certification or Prince II certification.
