Technical Project Manager (Finance)

Role: Technical Project Manager
Location: Dublin
Duration: Contract

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager who is interested in working in a fast-paced environment for a large multinational investment bank based in Dublin. The successful Project Manager will work as part of an Agile team on high profile projects within the risk technology group based in Dublin. Primarily focused on the area of model risk, you will co-ordinate and manage projects end to end, including scoping, requirements gathering, development, testing, data migration and implementation.

This exciting role is well suited to individuals with a strong technical background within investment banking.

Role/Responsibilities/Key objectives:

*Manage a number of medium sized projects;
*Understand business priorities and work with technology team to identify pragmatic solutions;
*Create project plans, managing time, cost and scope in line with internal project methodologies;
*Collate and analyze data sets to support project planning and execution;
*Manage stakeholder communications, ensuring they are timely, accurate and appropriate;
*Track and manage risks and issues ensuring timely resolution;
*Ensure projects follow processes and meet project standards;
*Oversight of testing design and execution to ensure that solutions are adequately tested against requested requirements;
*Regularly perform reviews to ensure that processes are evaluated and improved as required

Qualifications/Skills:

*High energy and a passion for the delivery of high quality solutions which address real business needs
*Proven ability to work on own initiative in a fast paced environment with attention to detail.
*Hands on approach required with ability to multi-task/prioritise tasks along with demonstrable pragmatic decision making capability.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) as we work on global projects and the ability to communicate efficiently is paramount.
*Capital Markets experience with an understanding of Global Markets financial products, business processes and terminology
*5+ years post qualification experience in project management
*Strong organizational skills with experience of all aspects of the project life cycle
*Software development background with exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies would be beneficial
*Degree/Masters or equivalent by experience
Project Management Certification or equivalent experience
