Technical Project Manager (Automotive Systems Support)

Background
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Project Manager to work within our clients protected mobility team and help to manage vehicle equipment systems management and integration for a period of 5 months. You will need technical knowledge for this role eg automotive systems/support. Main Duties/Responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to support new to service and in service Military vehicles or equipment through the application of systems engineering methodologies to ensure that performance of PM platforms is maintained in a safe and coherent manner. Put another way the role is about ensuring that changes or additions made to equipment fitted is conducted in a planned, considered and integrated manner such that performance and safety of the platform is not unduly effected.

Experience required
This role is customer focussed and you will be expected to have strong experience of applying systems engineering thinking and methodologies and ideally have experience of automotive systems and military communications/ECM equipment. Formal engineering qualifications up to HNC or degree level are desirable. Problem solving skills and an ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders is important. The team is an exceptionally busy, operationally focussed team with a high number of Urgent Operational Requirements, the pace and work rate of the team means that you need to be a self starter able to work with limited supervision and direction and be of a high calibre.

Skills/Experience Required
Ideally public sector/Central Government experience
