Technical Project Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- The Technical Project Manager of User Acceptance Testing (TPM ePlatform UAT) is responsible for the creation and execution of the User Acceptance test strategy, plan, and specifications for sustainment Sprint work impacting the web properties supported on ePlatform.
- This position is responsible for ensuring the right resources are available for ongoing ePlatform sustainment UAT efforts, timely and effective acceptance testing, and ongoing status reporting.
- The ePlatform UAT must work cross-functionally to secure buy-in from all key stakeholders on test strategy and scenarios to be executed in support of assigned projects and will also be responsible for managing UAT testers executing the test plan.
- The TPM ePlatform UAT will represent the ePlatform Sustainment team in ongoing enterprise project test status meetings and provide ongoing reporting to management on progress, issues/risks, and mitigation strategies to ensure successful releases.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Represent ePlatform Sustainment as the UAT test strategy owner and SME on projects that impact the web properties supported on the ePlatform and deliver comprehensive test plans/specifications/scripts to ensure successful deployments.
- Coordinate, manage, and/or execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of accepted business partner User Stories associated with assigned enterprise projects and maintenance releases to ensure system and customer experience meets approved business needs as required.
- Measure and report on UAT test performance metrics, and create actionable plans to reduce costs, improve tester efficiency, and increase deployment success within accepted test completion metrics.
- Represent ePlatform Sustainment as the UAT test strategy owner and SME on ongoing defect review and prioritization calls with EIT for issues that impact the EPlatform Sustainment POS system(s), and provide direction on priority and desired user experience in conjunction with EPlatform Sustainment Product Managers. This person will work with EIT to drive timely resolution of open defects.
- Coordinate test resource coverage, and lead Night of Deployment testing efforts for all team releases
- Develop UAT test resources allocation for assigned enterprise projects
- Other duties as assigned by management.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS

- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated public speaking and presentation comfort/skill and experience.
- Deep knowledge of current web technologies (HTML, XML, Scripting, and etc) and software test methodologies
- Preferred experience with E-commerce transactional processes (credit cards, product relationships, workflows) and platforms (IBM WebSphere Commerce)
- Knowledge of SAP and other Back End systems used industry wide (eg Cybersource, Verid, Paymentech, etc).
- Strong analytic/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clear defects, as well as screen, manage, and own resolution of defects
- Ability to proactively self manage work with a high sense of accountability.
- Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules when needed (after hours and weekends included) to support releases.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel (model building, pivot tables, graphing, etc.), Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio.
- BA/BS or equivalent experience required. MS a plus.

EXPERIENCE

- 10+ years of experience in software testing creating and writing Test plans, specifications, and scripts.
- 5-7 years experience working with Web Developers, Engineers, UI Designers and QA to implement Web features in an Agile development model.
- Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, leading and testing Client Server and Web based applications using Black Box testing, Functional, Regression, Integration, System, User Acceptance, Backend testing and Performance testing.
- Experience representing business owners (eg Product Managers, Business Analysts) and acting as a business advocate within the testing cycle
- Experience with defect management and Agile development systems (ie Quality Center, Rally)
- Wireless experience a plus
- Possession of the project management professional (PMP) certification is desired
