TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER SAN JOSE, CA 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to manage customer relationship and guide delivery of client services and projects. Supports key customers in the Bay area with large enterprise WAN Network.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Daily and weekly communications with the customer about all active projects and activities
- Coordinate with delivery team and product teams
- Manage risks and resolve issues
- Manage multiple small customer facing projects
- Create a project schedule and plan with financial, resource and material requirements
- Participate in the preparation of proposals and agreements
- Oversee project staff including project engineers, vendors, partners and subcontractors
- Manage the project from start to completion including the resolution of project issues
- Accountable for the Project Budget
- May manage internal projects/programs
- May manage ongoing optimization service to deployed customer network
- Maintains customer satisfaction score of 4.5 or higher

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Requires 3 to 5 years Project Management experience in the deployment of leading edge technologies in a complex commercial environment
- PMP with a CCNA or CCNP certification
- Completed formal Project Management training program
- Leadership skills and experience working with large project teams and strategic account teams
- Working knowledge of the sales process including risk assessment and scoping
- Good understanding of the legal issues with contracts
- Advanced negotiation and presentation skills
- Understanding of the organization, aims and processes
- Advanced negotiation, communication and presentation skills

- Partner services delivery model experience
- Ability to work independently in remote customer sites
- Service solutions sales skills
- Ability when required to control multiple project managers in the delivery cycle

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

- PMP - formal project management qualification
- CCNA
