Technical Project Manager

Flint Consulting Ltd is looking for a Spanish Speaking Technical Project Manager for a project that will be located in Puerto Rico.

PROJECT COMPLEXITY

Manages medium sized project(s) with moderate to high risk. Solution requires collaboration among cross-functional teams. There are multiple inter-dependencies, and the solution will impact many applications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures Project Delivery: Manages integration, interdependencies, and alignment of projects and/or tracks of work within and across functions as required.

Creates a project delivery schedule that includes financial, resource and material requirements.

Executes Project Lifecycle: Leads each project and/or release through Cisco's project life cycle processes. Ensures that the project has completed the relevant gate requirements and that deliverables have been properly reviewed by stakeholders.

Manages Communication: Manages project related communications within and outside of the project. Proactively identifies and communicates impacts to internal and external stakeholders. Freely provides information regarding project progress and scope using a project dashboard and/or internal/external status reports

Defines Success Metrics: Identifies and socializes project success metrics to the internal team and to external stakeholders. Evaluates project progress and results against success metrics.

Builds Team: Exudes energy and enthusiasm. Promotes and recognizes the contribution of team members, and creates a positive work environment.

Resolves Issues: Effectively identifies and resolves issues. Leads efforts to get approvals for scope/cost/schedule/quality changes through the appropriate channels.

Assesses Risks: Proactively identifies risks, communicates risks to appropriate stakeholders and develops a risk mitigation strategy and a contingency plan.

Manages Project Costs: Ensures project is within budget. Tracks, reports, and closes out expenses and contractual obligations.

Manages Stakeholder Relationships: Identifies and establishes partnerships with stakeholders to build support, secure sponsorship, and ensure alignment for project outcomes, end-products and/or solutions

Drive a team that includes senior engineering resources operating mission critical networking equipment: This role deals with projects immersed in complex Service Provider networking environments.

As such it is expected that the PM has literacy in:

- SP networks including components in core, distribution and edge layers.
- Cisco CRS-3, Cisco 6500, Cisco 7600, Cisco 7200, Cisco CNR-CAR and ASR-9000 architectures.
- Knowledge of network management, network availability, network monitoring and capacity planning.
- Additionally, the role is expected to have the following education fundaments:
- CCNP certification desired.
- University engineering degree required.
- Excellent fluency both in English and Spanish. (Written and Spoken)
