The British Library leads and collaborates in growing the world's knowledge base. Through our flagship digitisation programme, we are publishing thousands of documents relating to centuries of history along with world-class metadata and search facilities in a multi-lingual online resource.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Project Leader to join the team and craft the next-generation tools that will drive this digitisation effort forward. You will design, develop and deliver software solutions that support business operations and enable the British Library to achieve ambitious plans for growth in its digital output.

You will have substantial and up-to-date experience of software application development, including C#, ASP.Net, SQL Server, and proven knowledge of XML and related technologies. You will draw on your project management experience to provide confident forward planning and change control, ensuring the impacts of technical decisions are understood. You will also have some management experience and be comfortable working directly with end users.
