Technical Program Product Manager

Our client provides world-class support to over 2 million sellers in 9 countries. The Seller Support Program Management Office (PMO) drives solutions to ensure sellers are successful in selling their products to more than 150 million customers - from listing products, shipping, and receiving payments for products they sell. These solutions include the software platform and applications that the team uses to help sellers resolve problems.

We are looking for a Technical Program/Projects Manager to drive the mission to build a next generation Community Platform. This program includes worldwide forums where sellers are able to post questions or problems, and get response from fellow sellers. In this role you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, software engineers and product teams to deliver our most complex, high quality, scalable products deployed around the world. You will collaborate with the product teams to deliver the best product with most efficient use of resources and technologies. You will work with all the stakeholders to assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects by meeting project milestones. You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in technical program/projects and/or technical product management in a software applications environment
- Solid track record of developing and delivering on project launches with tight deadlines
- Experience developing user-facing applications (web and mobile)
- Ability to fully engage with technical teams and business teams and effectively manage customer expectations and resolve conflicts that balance client and company needs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working with user interface designers and conducting usability studies
- Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units
- Experience working with offshore software development team
- Experience with agile software development methodologies
- Ability to gather (raw) data and analyze to measure key performance indicators
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline

This contract position is expected to be 6 months in duration.
