For this contract position with a world renowned company, you will be responsible for supporting the development, qualification, ramping and sustaining activities for Product Engineering. Support sites include factories and repair centers that produce and repair the client's best-selling gaming console. This role will include a mix of hands-on project management, supporting the department's activities of domestic and international manufacturing, RnR partners, as well as internal cross-functional departments that our group supports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in the creation, maintenance and release of documents and Bill of Materials that instruct the manufacturing and repair sites how to perform key and critical processes
- Assist in the coordination of meetings with technical staff at manufacturing and repair sites and maintain action item logs resulting from the meetings and the follow up of those action items
- Assist in managing worldwide Product Engineering initiatives and projects
- Experience tracking bugs, work-items in either a Product Studio or Team Foundation Server Application
- Experience using Teamcenter a plus
- Create and maintain program plans and schedules
- Collaborate across engineering and business disciplines to meet very aggressive cost, schedule, and supply goals
- Communicate weekly status reports
- Analyze performance metrics against each implemented change
- Drive the ECR/ECO and test plan process
- Engage and coordinate the special build process with the Contract Manufacturers
- Coordinate a cross-functional team review for new console SKU's FAI/FPP audit process

QUALIFICATIONS

- 3-5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN HARDWARE PROGRAM MANAGEMENT REQUIRED
- BS DEGREE IN AN ENGINEERING DISCIPLINE HIGHLY DESIRED
- UNDERSTANDING OF BILL OF MATERIALS AND CHANGE CONTROL METHODOLOGY
- EXPERIENCE AND/OR UNDERSTANDING OF A SYSTEM MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT (BOARD/MODULES) A PLUS.
- Familiarity with proprietary Business applications (Product Studio, TFS) and Teamcenter
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
- Experience developing best practices (standard reporting, documentation, etc.)
- Effective program coordination skills and the ability to implement and monitor basic projects and plans
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to understand the appropriate processes to accomplish all tasks related to departmental needs
- Excellent communication skills are required with the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written form
- Experience working in high ambiguity situations
- Enthusiasm and self-motivation

This contract position is expected to be 6 months in duration.
