Technical Program Manager

Are you equally comfortable digging into business requirements and product planning, as drilling into technical architecture and design? Do you want to invent, develop and deliver state-of-the-art technology to meet the demands of next-generation automotive telematics? We need a TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER to help plan, design and execute large-scale programs using our client's automotive platform.

This company is developing a JAVA based platform that sits on the head unit of a car and allows your phone to communicate with the head unit. They have won awards for their product and are now about to launch into the electric car arena for one of the most successful car makers in the world!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, software engineers, and product teams to deliver complex, high quality, scalable web services for the automotive industry. You will work with all the teams to review requirements, perform technical analysis, assess scope, identify project resources, and help develop schedules to ensure timely completion of project milestones. You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, balance business needs versus technical constraints, and encourage process-driven behavior to maximize business benefit. Successful candidates will have a technical background, be detailed-driven, and have excellent problem solving abilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5+ years of experience in a technical program management or related role
- Cloud computing
- Multi-tier architecture
- Product development (Java, XML, JSON, SOAP, messaging protocols, and Web Services)
- Build processes
- Project management
- Release models
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

PREFERRED:

- 5 years of experience as a Software Developer
- Creativity with superior analytical abilities across business and technology
- Extensive experience defining programs, writing detailed functional specifications, and delivering projects that meet rapidly evolving business needs.
