Technical Operations Technician

I am looking to hire a Technical Operations Technician for one of my public sector client.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

- ITIL based technical issue resolution of incidents in a Live environment.
- Basic knowledge of either Ubuntu and/or Centos operating systems.
- Use of a Service Management workflow tool.
- Basic understanding and knowledge of messaging principles.
- Understanding of how to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- This is a technical role that requires a basic level of understanding of specific technologies and sufficient experience of technical operations processes to be able to perform effectively with minimum lead time.
- Have basic knowledge of server certificate administration and Smartcard administration (RBAC) and management.
- Proven experience of troubleshooting SSL handshakes.
- Have basic knowledge of Unix.
- Experience of Cisco Firewall configuration and an understanding Firewall rules
- Experience of LDAP configuration and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience of technical issue resolution of incidents and problems in a Live environment.
- Ability to contribute to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work.
- Experienced user of a Service Management workflow tool.
- Proven experience of 2nd Line incident and Major Incident Management.
- Proven ability of providing advice in a specific technical area.
- Basic experience of analysing Splunk logs
