JOB DESCRIPTION: TECHNICAL LEAD WINDOWS

PROJECT SUMMARY:

The project is to create Windows 2012 server standards and migrate the Windows 2003 Servers to the latest platform Windows 2012. The scope of the program is both Data Centres in CBJ, PRG and MBG as well as the in country infrastructure of all Business Partners in 200+ countries across the globe. Part of the project is to design, test, create and implement the standard DP DHL in country building blocks as much as possible in close cooperation between ITS Prague, ITSS and BU-IT.

ASSIGNMENT:

Act as a technical lead within the Windows 2012 program with IT services towards all internal SME's and the BU-IT SPOC's/SME's. Lead the integration design off all components in scope for the Windows 2012 projects, which means bare metal deployment for both in country and data center infrastructure, File and Print integration, BOB (app-v, DUE and MDS) concept integration, back-up integration and Windows Branch Cache.

Update support models and tooling for Servers under RIM, ensure optimized and automated OAT and UAT processes where possible to make sure the manual effort is minimized.

Support the project and procurement in define the HW requirements and deployment requirements for global deployment of new HW for Windows 2012. Create the High Level Design and lead detailed level design for all building blocks in scope. Lead all technical PoC and Pilot activities.

Determine/create a Migratie/Design Cookbook for in country infrastructure related to the central managed infrastructure services (File & Print, SEP, App-V, DUE, Altiris, VMware, MDS and Windows 2012 Server Build under RIM) Act as technical counterpart (SPOC) towards the different BU-IT leads, to ensure effective communication between all parties involves on both ITS side as BU-IT during the program.

SKILLS REQUIRED

For the assignment the following skills are required:

- In depth knowledge of Windows Server(s) in a large distributed network but centrally managed where possible
- In depth knowledge of file and print infrastructure and migration
- In depth knowledge of Windows Desktops Back End environments, since key components for the desktop are affected, such as MDS, File and Print,App-V, Altiris, SEP and Business Applications
- Experience with deployment and OAT process for in country Servers under RIM
- Large scale global Windows migration programs
- Technical project lead capabilities proven in a global organization
- Knowledge of Windows Branch Cache technologies, Storage (replication) and Back-up systems such as NetApp or EMC, Virtualization technologies such as VMware and Networking.
