Technical Lead

My Dublin based client has an immediate daily rate contract opportunity for a strong TECHNICAL LEAD to join their DUBLIN based team as they embark on an exciting new upgrade project.

You will be tasked with leading and directing a project team to successfully carry out an implementation of large and complex systems. Working with a Technical Design Authority and Integration Manager, the Technical Lead will need to lead the technical project team, including internal engineering and test teams and third party suppliers. In addition the Technical Lead will need to form and maintain excellent working relationships with key customer stakeholders, maintain their confidence and where necessary influence project decisions to ensure successful and pragmatic outcomes.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- 5+ years' demonstrable experience of leading technical delivery on large and complex systems
- 3+ years of leading teams of 10 or greater
- Demonstrable experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams, including both internal and external third parties
- Demonstrable experience of using test management systems for progress reporting and generation of associated metrics
- Requirements verification and traceability experience, ideally using a
- Familiarity with Defect Management processes and tools

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

- Tool driven system design using UML or another structured methodology
- Implementation and deployment knowledge (ideally from Windows and UNIX environments)
- Knowledge of financial and regulatory practices within business
