TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE PM - IT TRANSFORMATION PM - DATACENTRE TRANSFORMATION PM

My client is about to embark on a major relocation & transformation project. This project will see them provisioning a technology stack in 2 new facilities to enable them to provide Broadcast & media services to their current and potential clients. The project is just in its initiation phase and is building a small core team to lead the transformation through building fit out and base technical provision to specific broadcast & media systems procurement & implementation.

After the initial accommodation provision of new sites we require an experienced technical infrastructure project manager to work to the project director on the delivery of this work-stream.

There will be 3 core phases of work 

1) INITIATION PHASE:
Working with our technical Infrastructure Manager & Architects,
Setting up of the work stream, Devising of a project structure & approach, clarification of work-stream scope
Documenting High level Designs and preparation of costs business case with timetable for delivery 

2) DETAILED DESIGN & PROCUREMENT:
Production of detailed design, statement of works, implementation timetable of each component
Procurement cycle with our Sourcing team and vendor negotiation
Ensuring Delivery phase resource and planned 

3) DELIVERY PHASE: OFF SITE & ON SITE IMPLEMENTATION:
Overseeing of off-site system staging and configuration, then managing on site deployment & system integration

REQUIREMENT

We are seeking an experienced PM from a Broadcast Media background for a min of 4 months for the Initiation phase of the project, Dependent on the individual we make use the same person for all 3 Phases (approx. 12 months)

Senior PM with experience of initiating and starting a project, managing several strands, generation a project business case, timetable & budget.

S/he will need a strong technical background understanding IT technology stack including some or all of:

a) Ethernet Networks, WAN & LAN Connectivity

b) Core & Perimeter Firewalls

c) Disk Storage & Core fibre switching

d) DNS/DHCP & Directory Services

e) Citrix remote access platform

f) Compute (Physical and VM)

g) Wireless Networks

h) Microsoft SQL Cluster

The individual will need to build a team from a busy team of delivery professional staff & contractors with competing priorities. S/he will need to deliver within the frame work of Project delivery methodology and seek to ensure the Technical Infrastructure strategy is adopted.
