Technical ICT Project Manager

Federal government client is seeking to engage an experienced TECHNICAL IT PROJECT MANAGER to work to the ICT Infrastructure and Operations Manager to manage the implementation, migration and handover of a range of technical projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managing the implementation of the following projects:

- Storage Array upgrade,
- Video Conferencing upgrade,
- Networking infrastructure;

Developing project plans and providing detailed status reports on progress and budget;

Ensuring that the objectives of the project are met;

Working cooperatively and collaboratively with the other projects in ITB, as well as other stakeholders within the department;

Producing comprehensive and detailed implementation plans, migration plans, risk mitigation strategies and tracking actuals towards estimated project objectives;

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

- Considerable experience in the management of infrastructure technologies including Data Centre, Microsoft, Storage and Data Communications and in the delivery of technical ICT projects;
- Proven experience in managing concurrent projects with competing resource demands;
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of critical ICT storage infrastructure projects, where continuity of service is of paramount importance;
- Experience providing accurate information in technical and non-technical language to senior managers, including both oral and written reporting; and
- Experience preparing project documentation.
- Relevant tertiary or Project Management qualifications; and
- Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
