TECHNICAL DESIGNER

ABOUT THE ROLE

This client, a leading Australian retailer are seeking Technical Designers with payments experience in terminal and switching applications to join the Business Technology Services team.

The role exists to deliver cost effective, quality IT solutions and services that support the business strategy, providing design leadership and decision making accountability for medium to large systems solutions from an end-to-end perspective in the Group Financial Services domain. You will also be required to represent the organisation at regulatory meetings from a Terminal/PINPad OR Switching perspective (APCA and ePAL).

SKILLS REQUIRED;

- Demonstrated extensive experience in development and/or design of Terminals/PINPads OR experience in design/development of Payment Switching technology preferably Connex and Data Navigator
- Experience with PINPad/Point of sale Integration (PC-EFTPoS)
- Analysis of adhoc 3rd Level support activities
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent decision making ability with the ability to influence key stakeholders
- Ability to influence business strategy through the provision of technical alternatives
- Understanding of IT processes, preferably within a retail environment
