Technical Design Authority (SC) - Hampshire

Currently seeking a security cleared Technical Design Authority, to be based on site in Hampshire on a 10 month contract to be confirmed by the client.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The services cover support and maintenance of specially written application software and hardware/infrastructure support and maintenance covering many client sites in the UK.

This role is required to deliver the technical roadmap work packages for TAFMIS Contract.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

The role involves:

- Creation of Low level design documentation from High Level Designs and Requirements documents.
- Overseeing the day to day technical operation of parts of the development.
- Resolving issues in conjunction with the Technical and Design Authorities.
- Assuring timescales and delivery milestones are achieved.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

- Solution Design - the ability to extract information from High Level Design and other sources and create a low level design.
- The ability to provide technical input and management into Windows 2K8 based development environments with COTS components.
- The ability to provide technical input and management into Windows 7 based development environments with COTS components.
- To be able to follow project life cycle from instigation through testing to delivery.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

- Knowledge and experience of one or more Enterprise Architecture frameworks, eg TOGAF.
- Good understanding of project and programme management processes.
- Knowledge of Military business processes
