Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Technical Coordinator will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of litigation support databases, and will provide end-user issue resolution, training and support. The role involves some overtime, including informal weekend cover
Key Responsibilities
Database Set-uppreparing in-house application documentation
- Monitoring and quality control of databases
- Importing, converting and manipulating data using Microsoft Access (including use of complex queries and VBA) and other database packages.
- Report generation and visualisation of data using Crystal Reports and other software packages as appropriate for lawyers
Client & Lawyer Liaison
- Liaison with lawyers to understand disclosure case database requirements
- Liaison with clients and other parties concerning data collection, technical issues and appropriate transfer of data
Central IT Liaison
- Liaison with central IT on case-specific requirements including facilitation of technical fixes for in-house software
Liaison with external service providers
- Arranging and managing any external liaison re. database tasks as required
Lawyer Training
- Case specific end-user system training on databases, imaging, OCR and any other appropriate IT system supported by this group
Introduction & development of new technology
- Software evaluation, testing, piloting and implementation as required
- First level technical support for DR Document Management IT hardware & some software
- Maintain and develop commercial awareness of the evolving external marketplace both in terms of relevant systems and services.

Required Technical Knowledge
- Extensive IT skills, especially in Microsoft Access and VBA are a requirement
- Experience with administration of litigation support systems (eg Introspect, Relativity, Clearwell. Ringtail, Concordance, Summation, etc.) would be an advantage
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Competent keyboard skills.
The Individual
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Ideally to have experience in professional services or legal environment.
