Green Light requires the services of an experienced VIRTUALISATION TECHNICAL CONSULTANT who has previously worked on Enterprise level implementation projects.

The main purpose of this role is to deliver consulting services to clients with a strong emphasis on operationalization and standardization of Microsoft/VMware solutions from an IT Service Management and business standpoint.

Responsibilities

- Delivering Architect level Software Defined Datacenter (SDDC) engagements to critical clients regarding process and technology, in support of IaaS, PaaS and DaaS
- Delivering high quality delivery engagements around the Microsoft/VMware product line, to drive better outcomes for customers
- Engaging with critical clients regarding all facets of IT, including facilities, network, security, systems, strategy and business applications teams as well as service focused teams such as capacity management, financial management and event management.
- Provisioning leadership in the best practice operationalization and standardization of Microsoft/VMware products & technologies.
- Delivering projects in the enterprise space, often independently and with a commitment to high-quality outcomes.

YOU WILL HAVE:

- Minimum VCP 5 certification
- Experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi and vCenter) and vCloud Automation Centre (vCAC) and related products.
- Sound knowledge and technical skills in the following:
- Server, networking, storage and virtualization technologies.
- OS administration skills Apple, Windows, Unix/Linux platforms.
- Directory services MS Active Directory, LDAP.
- Server or storage products from HP, IBM, Cisco, EMC, NetApp, HDS, or similar.
- Experience with IT solutions, compute, storage, network, design and architecture.
- Infrastructure provisioning process and infrastructure life cycle management.
- Systems management including monitoring, automated provisioning and life cycle management concepts in addition to capacity, performance and event management.
- Understanding of modern IT Data Center practices and IT business operations across the ITIL service framework
- Experience in end to end project delivery including gathering requirements, leading workshops and driving change within the customer organization.
- At least 3 years' experience in enterprise-class IT infrastructure environment(s), including a working knowledge of networking, storage, facilities and Servers
- At least 3 years' experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services technology or business consultant
- Understanding of modern IT data centre practices and IT business operations across the ITIL service life cycle
- Gathering requirements, leading workshops and driving change within the customer organisation

DESIRABLE:

- Proven ability to engage at senior management (and when required C-level)
- Support organisation consulting, including organisational modelling, roles and responsibilities
- Infrastructure provisioning process and infrastructure life cycle management
- Systems management, including monitoring and automated provisioning and life cycle management concepts and related processes including capacity, performance and event management
- IT Service Management and ITIL process design
- Designing technical and/or process solutions
- Presenting to and interfacing with upper level management
