Technical Consultant - Job Monitoring/Control Tools & Tibco

For our key client in Zurich, Switzerland, we are looking for a TECHNICAL CONSULTANT to support the infrastructure team and the solution design team in the design of a sustainable monitoring and control solution.

Desired key skills:

- Technical hands-on experience with TIBCO products (HAWK, SNMP Plugin, TEA)
- Good knowledge of monitoring concepts on all layers from infrastructure to business activity
- Good knowledge of operations of IT infrastructure
- Nice to have: Experience with HP OM and vCenter
- Nice to have: Knowledge of MS Office and MS Visio, virtualization platforms such as VMware, Business Activity Monitoring tools such as nJAMS, other TIBCO products such as EMS and BusinessWorks
- Fluent English is a must (German or French are nice to have)

Tasks:

- Technical input to the design team regarding the monitoring/control tools
- Review the proposed solution (from the supplier) regarding scope of monitoring & control
- Define and assess the solution options based on the requirements and the best usage of the existing toolchain: vCenter, HP Operations Manager, TIBCO HAWK, etc. when considering the plan to introduce nJAMS
- Perform a technical SWOT analysis on the proposed alternatives mentioned above
- Make a recommendation and prepare the decision-making process together with the project manager
- Provide the detailed solution design to realize the recommendation

Project overview:

- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 3-4 months
- Workload: 4 days a week on-site
- Location: Zurich, Switzerland (plus travelling to Geneva, Switzerland)
- Languages: English
