Technical Consultant in a Laser Scanning Environment

For our international client in The Hague we are looking for Technical Consultant for a Laser Scanning Technology environment.

The Laser Scanning & Visualization project aims to developp a global service offering for Laser Scanning, storage, visualization and 3D Model conversion.

Laser scanning is a technique to quickly establish an 'As-Built' engineering image of existing brownfield process facilities as a starting point for plant changes and maintenance activities. The resultant 'point cloud' can be imported into a variety of imaging solutions such as Point Cloud visualization tools and full 3D suites. The Laser scanning output is accurate to a typical +/- 3mm accuracy.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute requirements gathering sessions for both Laser Scanning Technology and associated software
- Document functional and technical requirements
- Facilitate communications ans process for Market Scan, RFI and RFP
- Document business processes and identify improvements
- Validate for of local business processes and requirements with global solutions
- Hand over the solution apporoach and use cases to the technical team, and ensure a clear and complete understanding of the requirements
- Translate requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance and user acceptance testing
- Serve as a liaison to the business community and assist the change mamagement team as they evaluate training materials and other performance support products
- Participate in traininge and pilots
- Gather and document lessons learned
- Establish and maintain working relationship with IT and Business stakeholders

TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Mandatory
- Excellent English communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Strong knowledge of plant engineering and maintenance concepts and business processes
- Experience with (IT) solution evaluation and procurement
- Ability to analyse, design and document business processes
- Able to document requirements based on input gathered from the local stakeholders and user community
- Strong problem solving skills
- Willing to travel (if required)

Optional
- Experience with/knowledge of laserscanning
- Experience with/knowledge of application iomplementation and integration
- Previous experience in Oil & Gas Industry
- Ability to review project deliverables for completeness and quality and compliance with established project standards

SOFT SKILLE & EXPERIENCE:
Mandatory
- Able to work with a virtual team with members from various geographical locations and cultural backgrounds
- Able to communicate effectively with a project manager
- Able to communicate effectively with internal customers such as process owners and end-users
