TECHNICAL CONSULTANT | AWS, SECURITY, CONTROLS, RISK | BASEL, SWITZERLAND | 5 MONTHS INITIALLY

Square One are urgently looking for a Technical Consultant with AWS and Security experience for a 5 month initial project based in Basel.

The candidate would need to be on-site 4 days/week and can work remotely 1 day/week.

- AWS/Amazon Web Services
- Cloud Architecture experience
- Web-application architecture (including Java web-applications)
- REST-based Web-Services architecture
- Understanding of common security functions (eg vulnerability management, incident management, secure-configuration management, pen-testing)
- Ability to analyse and articulate security in terms of threats, threat actors, attack-vectors, control-objectives, (preventive and detective) controls and risk
- Understanding of common attacks (eg XSS, SQL Injection, CSRF, Phishing)
- Understanding of common technical security controls (eg 2FA, encryption, certificates, TLS, Perfect Forward Secrecy, data-analytics for incident detection)
- Ability to design bespoke defense mechanisms to minimize risk when best-practice mechanisms are not implementable
