TECHNICAL CONSULTANT

OUR CLIENT, IT SOLUTIONS AND SERVICES TO PRIVATE SECTOR BUSINESS IS LOOKING FOR A TECHNICAL CONSULTANT FOR A 6 MONTH CONTRACT TO BE BASED IN BRISTOL OR PETERSBOROUGH.

This role will be reporting into Technical Function Lead and working with the desktop team/payroll/HR etc

Key Deliverable:

- Upgrading systems/statuary maintenance for updating legislation's relating to HMRC/payroll etc. so systems reflect this
- upgrading to new web technologies to use the system effectively
- Upgrading from Windows server 2003 to 2012
- The Technical consultant won't be responsible for all tasks relating to this but will need enough experience to assist with some tasks on each programme

Required Skills:

- Technical Consultant/Engineer - with experience in a similar role, conducting system maintenance/server upgrades.
- Exp with Windows server 2003 and 2012 for the upgrade.
- Web technologies experience, such as Jboss.
- SQL/Oracle DBA exp and ideally Resourcelink experience but this is only a preference.
- Experience working to high volumes in a shared service environment ideally and for blue chip companies
