Technical Business Analyst - Murex/FX/MXML/SQL

My client, a global bank based in Zurich are seeking a Technical BA to join their FX team on a 12 month contract. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a true market leader in banking, and engage in an exciting and long-term project with an excellent rate on offer. Ideal candidates should possess a combination of both technical and business knowledge regarding financial products and exchange technology.

Role responsibilities:
- Providing support and assistance to FX applications in the form of technical analysis.
- Configuring and Scripting FX platform offerings.
- Development and support of internally created and externally supported software experience on Unix, SQL, or XML languages.
- MXML Exchange workflows design and implementation.
- Providing solutions to issues on business FX platforms and testing new or additional platform features.

Experience required:
- At least 12 years experience of working within banking or the financial sector.
- Strong knowledge of trading product platforms from both a technical and business perspective.
- A solid knowledge of FX cash/options trading is considered essential.
- knowledge of Murex v. 3 and MXML would be advantageous.
- An understanding of Front to Back FX banking processes, particularly FX trading.
- The ideal candidate should possess technical experience, ideally in SQL, Java, or Unix development.
- Capable of working both independently and within a team, and the ability to demonstrate leadership and managerial skills.
- German language skills are not required but strong communication is essential and ideal candidates should be fluent in English (spoken and written).
