Location: Dallas, TX
Type of Position: 3 Month Contract with a possible conversion
Hourly/Salary: $60 W2/$70 Corp to Corp

ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a 3 month contract with a possible conversion in Dallas, TX. The Business Analyst will report to the Data Manager and will be responsible for reviewing, analysing, and modifying programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs. In addition the Subject matter expert will partner with various lines of business including senior leadership, and human resources to enhance and better integrate database functions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, as well as extensive experience and leadership skills in Business Intelligence applications and reporting which will offer him/her the opportunity to be a key player on the client's BI/BA team. Prior experience should demonstrate the ability to use data to troubleshoot business problems as well as to identify, assess, and troubleshoot data issues. Excellent communication skills is a must as this is a busy environment within a fast paced growing company.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in the following skill sets
Advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server database design and development concepts.
SQL Server 2008 R2/SSRS/BI.
Experience developing test scripts/procedures.
Experience executing test plans/planning.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Excel (Pivot).
Extensive experience with C# and .NET desktop application development
Experience with Visual Studio as a primary IDE and code versioning
Advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server database design and development concepts
Working knowledge of software development life cycle
Day to day development of .NET based desktop customer management application.
Confirms project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements with analyst, supervisor, and client.
Arranges project requirements in programming sequence by analysing requirements; preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.
Encodes project requirements by converting work flow information into computer language.
Programs the computer by entering coded information.
Confirms program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes.
Prepares reference for users by writing operating instructions.
Maintains historical records by documenting program development and revisions.
Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
4 year college degree in computer science. Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.

PREFERRED
Microsoft developer certification, eg MCTS, MCPD, MCAD, MCSD.
5+ years of professional programming experience required.
End user experience a must (consulting etc).
