This position closes at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12th, 2012.
This is a 13 month contract opportunity with possibility to extend.Overview
Our Client requires a Technical Business Analyst to help implement a corporate level payment solution which can be used by our client's Business Units for processing electronic payments.
Currently the processing mechanism used by their web applications is either specific to the business unit or not scalable. There is no standard solution which can be re-used by the business units. There are a number of public facing applications which require the public to make transactions electronically, and in future this number is expected to grow as more business units move their services online.Role and Responsibilities
- Analysis of Payment Gateway - Analyse the capabilities of existing Payment Gateway. Currently the applications directly interact with the Payment Gateway. Analysis will be required to understand the payment gateway capabilities for implementing a reusable and scalable corporate ePayment solution;
- Requirements Gathering - Requirements for the corporate level ePayment solution will be gathered from Business Units and other Stakeholders. Since, this is a corporate solution, requirements gathering should be gathered thoroughly. Also, the existing payment solutions should be considered for existing payment solution requirements and lessons learned;
- Solution Recommendation - Based on the gathered requirements, analyse the various solution alternatives and recommend a solution for implementing ePayment solution;
- Design - Based on the recommended solution design ePayment solution. The main design consideration will be reusability and scalability of this solution so that various Business Units should use this solution. Also, design should consider that if payment gateway changes there should be no impact on the consuming applications;
- Development and Testing - Assist the assigned team member during the development and testing phase of ePayment solution;
- Reporting, Presentations and Status Updates - Report the project status to the Client IT Project manager/Technical lead. As required, presentations may be required for the Business Unit and/or other stakeholders.
Deliverables:
- Requirements Specification Document - Ensure requirements specification document is signed-off by the Business Units and other stakeholders;
- Recommended Solution Document - Ensure recommended solution document is signed-off by the Business Units, Enterprise Architecture Team and other stakeholders;
- Design Documents - Ensure design documents are signed-off by Enterprise Architecture Team and other stakeholders;
- Developed Solution and User Acceptance Testing - Ensure solution is developed as per the requirements and Business Units sign-off the User Acceptance phase;
- Documentation - Creation of documentation as per the direction and the specifications of the IT Project manager/Technical lead.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in the Application/System Analysis (4 - 10 years)
- Proven experience of gathering Application/System Requirements from multiple stakeholders (4 - 10 years)
- Proven experience of evaluating various alternatives including Client approved technology options and recommending a solution for implementation of Application/System (4 - 10 years)
- Proven experience of successful communication with clients and presentation to stakeholders (4 - 10 years)
- Proven experience of producing quality documentation (4 - 10 years).
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience of implementing projects using Agile Methodology
- Previous experience of designing robust, reusable and scalable Application/System architecture
- Previous work experience with Municipal, other Government Organizations or equivalent endeavors.
