Our client is an established Engineering consultancy operating across the defence, aerospace, marine and energy markets. They require an experienced Technical Author to join them on a client bids working on Chinook Avionic projects. They offer client solutions, services and deliveries are built on best practice processes and proven technologies, developed by engineering and technology specialists who understand the full spectrum of their client needs.

They require technical authors to join them on contract basis to produce documentation to support bids at MOD facilities in Bristol and Somerset. The suitable candidate will be proficient in the use of Abortext Editor (Epic) and have a number of year previous experiences in producing technical documentation for defence projects. The will possess knowledge of data module production and have a good working knowledge of S1000D. Ideally having previously worked on Chinook helicopters or other rotary wing aircraft within avionics and JULIUS fit experience. Preference will be given to candidates with use of IETM on interactive Analysis and Display System (IADS) and knowledge of Def-Stan 00600.
