Our award-winning, high-technology client is looking for a detail-oriented person to write topic-based, technical content for their customers' designers, developers and engineers. Applications are welcome from technical authors and from engineers with good writing skills looking to move into technical authoring.
Skills and experience required:
- Knowledge of at least one of the following: Embedded electronics; microprocessors and system-on-chip designs; Embedded memory systems.
- Technical writing experience in computing, software or electronics.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to converse with engineers, gather the relevant information and present it to company style and guidelines.
Any of the following are desirable: DITA; XML; FrameMaker; Visio; oXygen or similar; content management systems; an understanding of the interaction between software and hardware.
