Technical Author Contract

Huxley Associates are currently looking for an experienced Technical Author on a contract basis for a key client in the Gloucestershire area.

Purpose of the role is to support my client in an on going role. It is essential that the candidate has experience writing procedures within an engineering environment.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to work within a long term contract.

As the Technical Author the main responsibilities for the role are:
-Create production procedures for the mechanical assembly of parts.
-Create procedures for the repair and maintenance.

Essential Experience
-Experience creating procedures for both production and repair and maintenance documents.
-Must have worked with or have a knowledge of SolidWorks.
-Must have worked within a mechanical engineering environment, ideally within the oil and gas industry.
-Experience liaising between design and production.

Skills / Knowledge:
-Knowledge of how the engineering life cycle.
-Effective communicator.

Location: Gloucestershire

Rate: Dependant on Experience

Duration: 6 Months +
