Technical Author

For one of our high tech clients in the Eindhoven area, the Netherlands we are currently looking for a Technical Author. Please note that this is a position for the next upcoming years and that experience in a high tech/manufacturing environment is preferred!

JOB MISSION

The technical writer writes reviews and publishes the technical Equipment procedures necessary to produce the products in service at customer site. This means working closely within the engineering team to provide the procedures needed for maintenance, repair and upgrade of the systems via the dynamic publishing software environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION* Participate in an engineering team, preparing technical documentation for the equipment engineer.

. Ensure a uniform high standard of technical documentation for the team.

* Prepare complex technical procedures clearly and accurately in simple English with a methodical approach.

* Review comments on existing procedures and assign for review by engineers where necessary.

As a Technical Author (30% of the working time), the candidate will also be involved in coordination work (70% of the working time) such as of WoW, specification of Tool criteria, etc.

EDUCATION

Bachelor or Master level.

EXPERIENCE

* Multiple years working experience (Bsc: 5 - 10 years; Msc: 3 - 7 years).

* Experience as technical writer.

* Experience with EPIC software is preferably.

PERSONAL SKILLS

* Proven excellent fluent communication skills in English, written + verbal. Dutch is preferably.

* Pragmatic, initiative, ownership, persistent, pro-active

* Good communication skills, team player, but also independent.
