Job Specification:

Responsibilities will include:
- Create documents to support the development of new products
- Create documentation to assist in the compilation of Technical files.
- Support the development and maintenance of an infrastructure / library of standards and guides.
- Assist in the development of document templates to comply with latest standards and use existing project specific documentation to create standard documents for the product range.
- Apply design and statistical analysis tools to the development of technical documentation including FMEA and product safety analysis.
- Research and gather the information required so as to understand the technology and applications for which documentation is to be prepared.
- Review documentation requirements with customers and apply commercial as well as technical considerations.
- Control release of documentation in accordance with company New Material Release procedures to ensure documentation accuracy, integrity, and required availability.
- Produce artwork from CAD systems using publishing software (MS Word, Framemaker, Corel Draw, Quark, and Adobe suite).

In return they are seeking someone with the following skills and experience:

- A Technical qualification, to degree standard would be beneficial.
- A Engineering background
- Previous experience in writing technical documentation according to pre-defined standards (i.e. ECSS, ISO9001, MIL).
- Excellent English technical writing skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 with experience of implementing and developing quality procedures, knowledge of 14001 and 18001 preferred.
- Strong IT / Publishing skills, ideally including use of packages listed above.
- Knowledge of CE marking requirements and associated regulations and directives.
- Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
- Strong analytical skills - able to identify solutions and create and drive clear action plans.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced, matrixed environment satisfying multiple customers.
