Technical Author

Our blue chip customer is looking for a technical author to produce technical information to help internal teams and development partners understand core product functionality and operation, in line with defined standards and guidelines. The material produced will allow the audience to use a particular product function or understand a subject area.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- A clear and concise writing style.
- A background in: online payments; online transactions; digital payments; E-commerce and/or card payments.
- A flair for turning technical subjects and jargon into easily understood text.
- The ability to absorb information quickly
- Experience of single-source authoring frameworks and toolsets.
- An analytical mind and an inquisitive nature.
- A flexible and 'can do' attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain close relationships with departments within and external to the company.
- Ability to work autonomously and with a strong sense of initiative and of ownership.
- Ideally educated to degree standard (preferably in an IT, business related or analytical subject).

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

- Wiki experience.
- Consultancy experience.
- A technical background.
