Technical Architect/Technologist - Java/Ruby/Cloud - Agile - Berlin

TECHNICAL ARCHITECT/TECHNOLOGIST - JAVA/RUBY/CLOUD - AGILE - BERLIN

We are looking for a high level, enthusiastic Technical Architect/Technologist/Polyglot Engineer to join this large scale, fast paced, highly Agile team based out of their Berlin HQ working within a global team of highly experienced technology professionals (DevOps, Devs, QAs, Product Owners, BAs, Agile Coaches, etc..)

The ideal Technical Architect/Technologist will have strong experience in full-stack software development from software design and architecture through to development and delivery with a heavy focus on Agile (Scrum, KanBan, XP, Lean, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment) and JVM technologies (Java is the predominant technology but experience in Scala, Ruby, JavaScript or other JVM languages would be a bonus). Building large, scalable solutions using cutting edge technologies and methodologies.

As a Technical Architect you should have strong experience working with NoSQL databases (eg Cassandra, MongoDB, Hadoop), experience with automated configuration management (eg Puppet, Chef, Salt Stack, Docker, Ansible), deployment and testing solutions. Experience with modern Front End technologies, such as JavaScript, Angular, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX would be beneficial. Experience with a web programming framework such as Django, Ruby on Rails, Scala/Play etc would also be a bonus. Ideally you will have experience using and deploying on cloud based platforms.

You must be an excellent client facing communicator and have excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies, TDD/BDD, Scrum, KanBan, Lean, eXtreme Programming, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, DevOps and large scale Agile methods such as SAFe and LeSS.
